Beyond Ourselves is partnering with churches in the UK to facilitate relationships with a Zambian school and community. Churches can make a real and tangible difference in Zambia having the opportunity to send teams, send resources and see a community changed through their involvement.
Being connected with a community in Zambia is an exciting opportunity for a church. Rather than sending missionaries to embody missional living abroad, there are opportunities to link with local Zambians and build relationship and enable everyone in your church to make a difference overseas rather than just a small group of people.
Restore Community Church in Essex has been partnering together with Beautiful Gate School since 2005. They have sent over 50 members from their church to Zambia on various teams. They have regularly sent financial support which has helped transform the school. They have built homes for families which has transformed lives. They have an exciting and dynamic relationship with Beautiful Gate, one that both communities are committed to long term.
Committing to help a community in need will undoubtedly also change lives in your own church. Working closely with local Zambians enables people’s mindsets and hearts to be changed to become more like Jesus. Generosity is awakened in people’s hearts and people are released into their callings in God and you may just see your own community transformed as well.
